Aerial STUDENT Certification Level 1

Next date: Sunday, May 20

Time: 1pm-3:30pm

Training:

  • $50 Tuition
  • Swing set-up and tear down
  • Anatomy of the Swing
  • Appropriate swing placement
  • Basic yoga postures that are covered in Kai Aerial Level 1 Yoga classes

Level 1 Certification gains the student access to:

  • Level 1 Aerial Yoga Classes
  • Fly Fridays
  • Aerial Restorative Classes

Refund/Cancellation for Aerial Workshops and Special Events: Full refunds will be issued if the student cancels prior to 7 days before the event. No refunds will be issued after this time UNLESS another student can be found to take your place. No partial refunds will be given.

Weight Capacity: the weight capacity for the Swing material is 300lbs. The weight capacity for the Swing apparatus is 1,200lbs.

Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Level 1 Certification Course

Kai Yoga Studio, the premiere Aerial Studio for the Dayton Area, is now accepting applicants for its Level 1 Teacher Certification course. 

Are you a registered yoga teacher and want to add Aerial skills to your teaching knowledge? Or, are you a fitness instructor or personal trainer who would like to implement the benefits of Aerial yoga in your trainings? Do you have a swing at home and aren't really sure what else to do besides hang upside down? If you answered YES to any of those questions, this course is for you!

Topics Covered:

  • Anatomy of the Swing, including set-up and take-down
  • Safety and the Business Side of Aerial Yoga
  • Benefits of Aerial Swing Yoga
  • How to translate yoga postures from the mat to the swing
  • Sequencing for Aerial Vinyasa Flow, Aerial Fit, and Aerial Yin classes
  • Syllabus is included with training

Weight Limit:
Swings, 300lbs
Swing Mechanisms, 1,200lbs

What to wear:
Clothing that is not too loose nor too tight. 
High-waisted capris or pants are best. NO Shorts.
Tops that are a bit longer, not low-cut and have sleeves.


Food:
Have some food in your belly, but not too much. It's recommended that if class begins at 6pm, have a snack around 4:30pm.

Perfumes:
NOPE! Do NOT wear perfumes, colognes, body sprays, and/or essential oils. These will transfer to our materials and stain them.

Deodorant:
YUP! Please use it.

Age Limit:
10-12 years of age and up

Maximum Participants:
12

Can I show up without registration?
Sure..... but you are not guaranteed a Swing! 

Pre-registration is the best way to guarantee you have a spot for our Aerial Events.


Students who should not participate due to:
Glaucoma or detached retina
Pregnancy
Easy Onset Vertigo
Recent Surgery
Heart Disease
Uncontrolled high or low blood pressure
Recent Concussion or Head Injury
Hiatal Hernia or Disc Herniation
Recent Stroke
Artificial or Re-Surfaced Hips
Botox (within 24 hours of class)
 

Motion Sickness:
If you experience 'car sickness' easily, you may also find the Aerial Swing Yoga to be challenging, but you can still attend. However, we recommend taking something for motion sickness at the recommended dosage/duration before class begins.

Refund/Cancellation for Aerial Workshops and Special Events:
Full refunds will be issued within 7 days of the event. No refunds will be issued within 72 hours (3 days) of the event UNLESS another student can be found to take your place. No partial refunds will be given.
