Class Descriptions


Aerial Explore and Elevate

STYLE: Aerial Swing
AUDIENCE: Experienced

This is an intermediate level class. Previous yoga and aerial yoga experience preferred. Antigravity aerial swings remove compression from the body and offer a different perspective on traditional yoga postures. This class utilizes the swings to lengthen stretches, increase strength, and create space in the body. Students will find this class uniquely challenging but also playful and uplifting.


Aerial Align and Restore

STYLE: Aerial Swing
AUDIENCE: Beginners / Intro Class Beneficial

An all-levels appropriate class. Antigravity aerial swings remove compression from the body and offer a different perspective on traditional yoga postures. This class utilizes the swings to lengthen stretches, increase strength, and create space in the body.


Ashtanga: Led Primary

STYLE: Ashtanga
AUDIENCE: Experienced / Advanced

Created for the Ashtangis who have a regular Mysore-style practice. This class is not New-to-Yoga Friendly, but if you have a working knowledge of the postures (and the modifications you can make), then you are welcome to join us. 

After the Opening Chant, we will dive straight into our practice with Surya Namaskar A & B, then continue through the Primary Series. Class time is about 1 hour, 45 minutes, which includes Closing Chant and Taking Rest.


ASHTANGA MYSORE

STYLE: Ashtanga
AUDIENCE: New to Advanced

Why is it called 'Mysore'? Mysore, or Mysuru, India is the birthplace of Ashtanga Vinyasa Method. Ashtanga Mysore is a group class where students are provided individual instruction to guide them through the Ashtanga System. Students can arrive and start their practice any time between the times posted, so this makes it a great practice for those with a changing schedule. Great for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. 


Extend and Energize

STYLE: Vinyasa

AUDIENCE: Some Experience/Intermediate

Connect breath and movement with this vinyasa-based class designed to put a little pep in your step and a smile on your face. Come prepared to move the body and stretch the mind. 


 

Focus and Breathe

STYLE: Hatha
AUDIENCE: Beginners / No Experience

A gentle and beginner appropriate class based in the Hatha tradition of yoga. Attention to the breath, focused movement, and emphasis on intention are offered in this class.


Rock and REstore

STYLE: Hatha

AUDIENCE: Some Experience/Intermediate

A 6-week yoga conditioning course designed to build more strength, flexibility and stamina in your life. A faster-tempo class with upbeat music. Lots of energizing movement balanced by a restorative finish. 

This course is not offered year round.


Stretch and Strengthen

STYLE: Hatha
AUDIENCE: Experienced

An intermediate level class based in the Hatha tradition of yoga. Focuses on balance, strength, flexibility, and breathing. Introduces more mentally and physically challenging postures as students progress.


Yin Yoga

STYLE: Yin Yoga
AUDIENCE:
Beginners / No Experience

Yin Yoga is a slow–paced style of yoga in which poses are held for five minutes or longer. Promotes flexibility and strengthens the joints by applying moderate stress to the connective tissue while increasing circulation. 


Yoga Fundamentals

STYLE: Hatha
AUDIENCE: Beginners / No Experience

Based in the Hatha yoga tradition, this all-levels appropriate class focuses on the basic principles of yoga, combining movement and breath to bring peace to the body and mind. This is a great class to start with if you are new to yoga!
