STYLE: Ashtanga AUDIENCE: Beginner to Intermediate

Accessible Ashtanga (formerly Ashtanga Assisted Practice) provides you with individual instruction and guides you through the Ashtanga system. Arrive 45 minutes before the end of a class time to make sure you can take a proper closing Savasana! Perfect practice to adapt not only to YOUR schedule, but more importantly, to adapt to YOUR level of ability.

We will take our time to build the breath, movement, strength and flexibility that works for you. We together will also work creatively into the breath, intension, philosophy and the other many subtleties of what makes this yoga practice an Ashtanga Yoga Practice. We will bring an understanding of how it fits into the 8 Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga Philosophy. Working through our old grooves, patterns and make small connections that eventually blossom into your very own individual practice that we can last a lifetime.

The Ashtanga practice can be challenging to the body and mind but just like anything you want to achieve you need to practice. However, Rome wasn’t built in a day and you don’t need to be either. Regular practice builds strength and flexibility of body and mind which in turn can be applied to your everyday life situations. You learn to know, through self introspection, when to be strong, when to be flexible, and when to surrender (which does not mean give up!).
